Dr. Thomas King is Chief Technical Officer (CTO) at DE-CIX since 2018. Before, King was Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) at DE-CIX starting in 2016. He started his career as Member of Technical Staff at DE-CIX from 2008 to 2010 being responsible for the BSI IT-Grundschutz / ISO 27001 readiness program which resulted in a successful certification in 2010. 

In 2010, Thomas King joined 1&1 Internet AG as a Product Manager responsible for mobile applications and mail. In 2011, he founded a startup company called audriga, in order to provide a service to automatically migrate email accounts from one hosting provider to another. Dr. King re-joined DE-CIX as Head of Research & Development in 2014 and was promoted in 2016 to the newly-created position of Chief Information Officer at DE-CIX. Thomas King received an M.Sc. degree in Computer Science and Business Administration from the University of Mannheim, Germany in 2004, and a Ph.D. degree at the chair of Computer Networks from the University of Mannheim in 2008.

Mark Daley plays a leading role in identifying and developing Epsilon’s cutting edge Cloud and communication strategies, with a focus on market and customer needs.

A veteran telecommunications professional, Mark served 14 years with Telstra and other high profile Telecommunication companies such as NTT and eircom. Mark held leading Products and Marketing roles in Telstra’s move into the European market in the mid 90’s, and wrote NTT’s European ICT strategy in the mid 2000’s which they continue to deliver today, as well as winning NTT’s first ever World Communications Award.
Mark has also held executive Marketing & Product Director positions at Cap Gemini TMN UK and spent 8 innovative years in the Mobile Roaming world including at WSI’s first US Roaming Hub and launching Syniverse’s first hosted intelligent network services portfolio. Recently, Mark spent 4 years at NetDev that had developed the next generation of web-based OTT voice, video and WebRTC service functions, as well as developing the leading innovative Audio Conferencing platform at BT, which now includes Spatial Audio.

Chadwick Kinlay heads up Epsilon Group’s marketing and communications out of its Singapore HQ, bringing with him over 8 years’ telecommunications industry experience. He plays an instrumental role in developing Epsilon’s strategic marketing and communication plan with a focus on integrated global strategies for brand development. Prior to Epsilon he held various marketing positions across a broad set of industries including Banking, Hospitality and Pharmaceuticals. Chadwick received his Bachelor of International Business majoring in Business Management and Marketing from Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia.

Michael Martens was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Riedel Networks in May 2012. Prior to joining Riedel Networks, Mr. Martens spent 5 years with Colt Technology Services, responsible for wholesale and mid-size businesses in Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Eastern Europe. Previously, as a member of Verizon Business Germany, Michael Martens was responsible for sales to resellers, system integrators, carriers and service providers. Michael Martens began his career in 1984 at Deutsche Telekom as a telecommunications craftsman, is a telecommunications specialist and has studied business computer science at the AKAD Institute.

Mark Ryder joined Sify in January 2017 as Managing Director – Europe to spearhead Sify’s expansion plans focusing on supporting European businesses requiring access to the growing Indian economy. He will pursue businesses that look at India both as a market for expansion and for its availability of skilled workforce and IT infrastructure.
Mark Ryder brings a wealth of experience from a strong background in IT and Telecommunications in companies such as Verizon and Level 3. He also helped build European start-ups Colt and Zayo (formerly Geo). Mark Ryder has over 20 years of leadership experience across Wholesale, Enterprise, Public sector, and Channel markets.
Mark Ryder is responsible for building the European business to help Sify realize its ambition to be a global ICT services company. He is working very closely with the wider teams and leadership in India to support and enable the business in Europe.
Founder and Managing Director, NewTelco GmbH 
Matthias Hartmann is the founder and Managing Director of NewTelco. Matthias embarked upon a career in telecommunications as an electronics engineer at Panasonic in Nuremberg. When the German telecom industry underwent deregulation in the late 90’s, Matthias welcomed the opportunity to get directly involved in the PBX business, successfully obtaining the required authorization from the Federal Office of Postal Services and Telecommunications. In 1997, Matthias switched his focus to assisting one of the first alternative network providers located in Frankfurt. After gaining professional experience in a sales support role, he started own telecom business and established NewTelco GmbH. Today, it is a successful interconnection company with the 15 years’ experience in the telecommunication industry.
VP Product Line Manager, Dialogic
Miguel started in 1999 as a software developer and in 2002 he co-founded a network solution provider in West Africa. Further on, in 2007 he co-founded what would be the first Wi-Fi ISP in Cape Verde and the first company to break a 21 years local telecom monopoly. Five years later, Miguel accepted the invitation from Ezelink Telecom to revolutionize the company strategy in the Intelligent Hotspot, IoT and Smart City solutions as Director of Technology. During his tenure at Ezelink Telecom, the company launched several innovative unique products that did not go unnoticed and made Ezelink one of the references for Wi-Fi and Smart City solutions in the region.
Since 2015, Miguel has been working in Silicon Valley and been involved in several projects to help Service Providers monetize their voice business by finding the best intersection point between real-time communications, collaboration, IoT, Machine Learning and Ai. Currently, he is Vice President of Product Line Management for Applications at Dialogic. His career also includes participation in the United Nations ESCAP as part of the regional connectivity task force and young entrepreneurship.

A truly international communication Manager who spend more the 10 years working in London for Cellnet, BT and T-Mobile UK in multiple functions leading core network architecture teams as well as heading up the wholesale business unit with the associated P&L responsibility. Kai worked as well for T-Mobile US being based in Seattle and building up the Multi National Cooperation B2B Marketing. For the last 9 years Kai is based in Germany, Frankfurt, working for the International Network Function, being in charge of DT’s international WDM and IP network beside DT’s subseacable, international Telehouses and Sitemanagement.
